ICAN Ibadan on new tax reforms’ implications in Oyo
The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), Ibadan & District Society, recently hosted a webinar on the new tax reforms in Oyo State. The session, themed “Navigating the New Tax Landscape: Implications in Oyo State for Tax Administration and Compliance,” featured insights from the Oyo State Internal Revenue Service (OYIRS) on Nigeria’s 2025 Tax Reform Laws.
Highlights included the shift towards digital tax administration, expanded compliance requirements, AI-driven compliance checks, and global best practices in taxpayer-centric systems. ICAN members were urged to adopt digital tools, promote record-keeping, and support client compliance in line with OYIRS’s digital transformation blueprint.
