ICAN Ibadan and District Society was on a business visit to the Nigeria Tribune to seek strategic partnerships in advertising and training.
In addition, the District sought to know how the media group could further publicize the District’s numerous programmes.
The Managing Director/Editor in Chief, Mr Edward Dickson, who was ably represented by the Editor, Nigeria Tribune, appreciated the ICAN team for coming, and spoke on the challenges that the print media organizations were facing in the country as a result of economic meltdown and the advent of digital news.
According to the MD/EiC, the first edition of the newspaper was printed in 1949, a copy of which was presented to the District.
Members took a tour of the organization, including the library that has different newspaper editions as far back as the 1950s, including those that had gone moribund.
Gifts were presented and group pictures taken before our departure.
